A spike in email scams linked to coronavirus has been noticed. Phishing emails are sent to individuals and companies in English, French, Italian, Japanese, and Turkish.
One email claims to have details about a vaccine being covered up by the Chinese and UK governments. It urges to click on the attached document; the user is then taken to a spoof webpage designed to harvest login details.
Another email claims to represent the World Health Organization (WHO). Its attached document is called ‚Safety Measures‘ and when the user downloads it, it infects the computer with malicious software.
Please be careful when it comes to emails about corona.
