Malware responsible for a shutdown of Ukrainian power stations out in the wild

A sophisticated malware that managed to shutdown Ukrainian power stations in 2015 is being deployed through dark web forums. It targets SSH keys designed to secure remote commands for communications between machines.

A single compromised SSH key  allows hackers to reach mission critical systems to spread malware or sabotage processes. The malware can also add attackers’ SSH keys to a list of authorized key files on victim machines.
